Pisciculture
Many families in rural areas remain in extreme poverty despite having access to natural resources like ponds, which, if utilized properly, can serve as sustainable income sources through fish farming. However, due to a lack of knowledge and technical skills, they are unable to maximize their benefits.
To address this issue, our organization provided training on modern fish farming techniques, including improved fish protection and production methods. A total of 30 households participated in the program, gaining the necessary skills to establish self-employment opportunities and achieve a sustainable livelihood through pisciculture.
Agriculture Training
The region primarily consists of lowland areas where the soil conditions are unsuitable for paddy cultivation. Additionally, many farmers rely on traditional and outdated agricultural practices, which severely impact crop yield and income generation.
To promote scientific and modern farming techniques, the Humanitarian Research Foundation organized multiple Agriculture Improvement Awareness and Training Camps. A total of 535 farmers participated in these programs, which were conducted with the support of government agricultural experts, NGO representatives, and experienced resource persons.
As a result of the training, farmers have begun adopting modern agricultural methods, leading to increased productivity, improved crop quality, and higher earnings. This initiative has significantly contributed to enhancing agricultural sustainability and improving the economic well-being of the farming community.
